You've Got A Friend In Me

When you're 13, you desperately want to be cool and fit in. Every Friday night, I went skating with my friends. If you brought your own skates and didn't have to rent them, you were cool. For my 13th birthday, this was my present from my brother. He made me cool, if only for a short time. They used to have powder blue pom poms on them. They mean so much to me that I still have them. They still fit. I must have been a big 13 year old.
This is my big brother. This was taken before I was born. He has no idea how wierd his world was about to be with a sister like me coming into it. He would never need to talk again, I could do all of his talking for him. I wouldn't pick anyone else in this whole world to have the title of my Big Brother.
Me
I broke my leg when I was 14 months old. I wore this cast for a whole summer. It's over 42 years old and I still have it. That's gross but, I can't seem to bring myself to throw it away.
Here we are on the car. That's my brother and that's my cast.

Can You Feel The Love Tonight

My big brother and his beautiful family.Wow! I could look at them all day long. I only have one sibling and he is it and so all my love goes out to them. Yes, they make me happy.

The Lady In Red

My Niece and until the month of April, she's the only one and she is the cutest, happiest 2 year old girl in the world. She loves, Elmo, Dora and takes playing very seriously. She will grow up to be the boss of something important. No doubt. Wow, I love her!

Blue Eyes

Brother and Sister kisses
This is my # 1 nephew. I loved him the moment I met him. He used to stay with us when we was little and we had so much fun and got so dirty! He once told me the "world didn't rewond around me, it rewonded around him". I still laugh at that. He is an awesome big brother and everyday that goes by, I miss him more. I love him!

'Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

I haven't always understood some of the things I have gone through but, I do as this verse says, I don't lean to that. I don't get it but, I do get HIM and I trust with all my heart that HE is directing everything path that I have been on in the past, am in right now in the present, and will be in the future.

As a teen I played that song Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus as a special piano solo. I had no idea the impact those words and that scripture would have on my life.

We've Got A Groovy kind of Love

I first saw him at church. I liked his smile. I still do. That was 1982. This is 2010. I've been loving him for a long time. No one says my name the way he does. He is my better half. There aren't enough words to describe us over the years. I guess the best ones are we are still here and we are still together and still in love.

Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friends

She never knew it. But, I have been praying for her all of her life. On June 21, 2008, she married my son. I had prayed for his wife to be all these years. Here she is. She is marvelous. Beautiful. Smart. And can she ever sing. And....above all....she loves him and he loves her.

Sshhh...stop. look down there....

He is our youngest son. He has been spoiled and loved on by everyone. The youngest of the family title he wears very well. He began quoting movies when he could barely talk. We are sure that's going to pay off big time one day. He makes me laugh more than anything. His impersonations are hilarious. We wouldn't have any laugh lines on our faces if it weren't for him.

Isn't She Lovely

She was born to us when we were 25 and 19. How she turned out to be so awesome is a mystery to us. We had no training on raising a daughter. She is fabulous wrapped up in a beautiful package and tied with a navy blue and white NY Yankees bow.

My Parents and My Grandaughter

This is my parents sitting with my grandaughter overlooking the lake that we live on. Watching them love this baby as much as they have loved all the others makes my heart skip a beat. They are quite possibly the best Grandparents and parents walking on the face of the earth. Enough said.

Ants Marching

This is my son, my son, my first-born one. He and I have grown up together. He is one of the most talented musicians I have ever seen. I can brag. This is my blog. I love him.

Bella Bear

This bear owns my heart. That face, that face, that marvelous face.

Because of my enjoyment of reading my friends blogs and my husband has even become a blogger, I decided to jump in head first!

I hope to express what it's like to live today in our Hanselworld. Sometimes I hope to make you laugh, smile and okay....I would really feel like a success if I could make you cry!! ( happy tears, of course)

Warning....I am a 100% head over heels in love Grandmother so, most of my post could possibly be about my Grandaughter! Maybe when she's grown, she can look back at these as a chronicle of her part in of the Hanselwomen.

Here goes! A new adventure awaits!
