Beautiful Baby Boy

A baby shower for a very special little man who will be born soon.

My beautiful daughter in love who is so sweetly carrying him in her tummy and quickly running out of room!

Her friends threw the cutest shower with all the cute details!

There were little bowties and mustaches everywhere for this little man!

Even play staches for Auntie Rachie!

Isn't that so cute? We are so excited about this little "BOY"

Delicious cupcakes with the cutest toppers on them.

More yummy sweets.

Delicious strawberry punch.

The Mac and Cheese shooters were delicious.

So was the spinach dip.

And so was the grape salad, the b-b-que sammies and the crossaints filled with chicken salad.

Everyone had a mason jar decked out with a mustache to drink from. I love it!

Even special little straws. They thought of everything!

This is Karah and Camaray. They gave Kiera the shower and did such a fantastic job!

Such sweet, pretty and creative friends!

There was even a craft for you to make these adorable onesies for the little Mister!

Kiera and Katie. Special friends!

All you had to do was iron on some bowties to your onesie to make these one of a kinds!

Ohh....goodies for baby boy Aaron Maximus.

These are all the onesies and bibs all decorated.

Now , isn't that the cutest thing?

He will look so cute in these!

My Favorite Things ( for fall)

I thought I would share some of my most favorite things this month.  I'm starting with my most favorite fragrance. LOLA by MARC JACOBS. My daughter gave it to me for my birthday this year. It smells sooo good. Ohhh-la la. And the cute bottle is so fun. I have a problem that everytime I use is, I HAVE, I mean HAVE to start singing..."Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl with yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there. She would meringue and do the cha-cha and while she tried to be a star", ......you get the idea. I was a serious Barry Manilow fan when I was a teen!

These are my most favorite pair of boots. My Mom gave them to me for Christmas two years ago. I can't even describe how comfy they are. They are the shoes I pick to wear if I am going to have to wear shoes all day and be on my feet. The heel is just the right height with all my jeans .

And after having them and wearing them a TON, they aren't hardly scuffed at all. And I am rough on shoes! And then something happens everytime I put them on and I do mean EVERYTIME. I start singing....".These boots are made for walking and that's just what they'll do and one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you". It's a blessing and a curse to love music as much as I do. There is always some song going though my mind!

This is a cookie cutter I found on clearance at Target and it makes the perfect sized turkey sandwich for my Grandprincess. She loves turkey sandwiches for lunch and they always taste better when they are cut in fun shapes.

My daughter got this for me. It is an apple corer. I love it! I have for about two months been eating an apple a day for the health benefits. I actually got the idea from a guest on the ELLEN SHOW and I have noticed little changes. So, my favorite apples are the HONEY CRISP and with this little tool, I just push out the center and then I can eat the whole thing with no waste! It's awesome. And I have to tell you....I do sing this song in my head when I am preparing my apple." An Apple A Day Keeps the Doctor Away...have you had an apple today?" I told you, never a time there isn't a song floating through me head!

Because of the cooler fall weather, I have felt like baking this week. I made this PUMPKIN BREAD. I got the recipe from Pinterest. Thank you, Pinterest, for giving me more things to do than I can ever get to! But, the recipe was easy and it made two loaves and I was surprised at how yummy it was. I gave one away and we are nibbling on the other one. And those are NOT raisins in there, I would not, could not, ever desecrate any food with those horrible little things. It's pecans. "Pecans and walnuts and hazelnuts, almonds and all other crazelnuts." You know the fruitcake song, right?

While I was baking, we had some leftover bananas and so, more bread! Yum! My daughter in love gave me a pan that had eight of these loaf sizes in it so, it's fun to make the bread in it and share some and give it away. We gave away the others and this is what's left. I think it's funny. The one on the right is the one that everyone just pinches off a piece of when they walk by. I took this picture last night. And it was gone this morning.  I love BANANA BREAD. Sometimes I call it Jana Banana Bread or Bella Bread.

My daughter got this at HOME GOODS. Oh dear, could we love a new store anymore??? I think we went three times just on opening weekend! It's of course, a skull but, a KITCHEN TIMER. We don't usually use a timer but, he makes us ( atleast we think he is a he) want to time everything. Fun stuff!

One of my favorite new products. TIDE PODS for washing the clothes. Seriously takes all the pouring and measuring out of the laundry. I don't mind doing laundry at all. Though, ironing is a bummer. Oh, and I love to fold warm towels right out of the dryer.  But, this just makes it so easy. Pull it out of the bag and put it in. Nice. I will definantly use them again.

And the last thing for this post is this!! My daughter heard about this and tried it and I tried it and wala,it does erase dark circles from under our eyes. I mean it is the new product of the year in my opinion. I do have dark circles some days and the reason is twofold...I am getting older and sometimes I don't get much sleep. But, thankfully there are people out there who work in a lab to create products like this to solve all my beauty problems. I hope you have enjoyed a little of my favorite things. The Lord gives us little things to enjoy everyday. Sometimes we just have to look harder for them and really appreciate them. And that reminds me of another song......... :)

Going To The Chapel

This past weekend my daughter and I threw a wedding shower for our sweet friend, Sarah.

She is marrying Jeff in January.

We made it a salad shower.

And cupcakes, of course. Can't go wrong with cupcakes.

We had this idea to ask Jeff a few things that he loved about Sarah (without her knowing) and then we painted some frames grey and printed what he said and framed it. It made the table decor simple but, personalized for Sarah.

I think his words made her cry a little bit. He got some major fiance points on Sunday!

More salads.

Isn't this the sweetest thing?

Instead of a sign in book. We had stone and everyone signed their name on one side and then a word for marriage on the other. Then they will have a nice table centerpiece reminding them of good things about being married.

For take home favors for the guests, we made "smores for two" baggies.

Everyone was happy to have something to take home with them. I did eat a couple of them before the shower and after.

The whole table.

By the way, ladies do not eat as many breadsticks as men do. We still have a refridgerator full of them.

Rachel, the gracious and hard working host.

Sarah, the bride-to-be with one of the things her hubby-to-be said about her.

Sarah enjoying all her gifts and Laura writing them down. You know the drill. Gotta get those thank you notes out.

This is Sarah and her little sister, Natalie.

A sign we made her. Thanks to pinterest for the idea.

My dear friend, Marta is Sarah's Mom. We are blessed to be a part of this happy time in their lives.
